Allen Park is fortunate to have such supportive residents and visitors who are loyal to our local businesses. This well-known reputation helped make the year 2024 especially successful for new business openings throughout the Allen Park Downtown Development Authority (DDA) district.

A total of 21 new businesses made the decision last year to call Allen Park their home and opened within the DDA district.

"Downtown Allen Park is home to almost all our city's businesses, and we are fortunate to have a well-established and growing collection of offerings that can meet so many of your needs," said Allen Park DDA Board Chair Fred Frank. "There is a noticeable sense about the future of downtown Allen Park, with even more new businesses and other positive developments to come."

These new retail, restaurant, food and beverage, professional services, and automotive offerings add to the over 400 businesses within the large DDA district.

“Allen Park is a great community with a growing variety of businesses,” said DDA Board Vice Chair Jeff Holden. “Take some time to discover what the Allen Park downtown has to offer.”

DDA Board Secretary Frank Cieszkowski said, “Allen Park is a great location to set up a business. It is in close proximity to four major freeways: I-94, Southfield, I-75, and I-96. Metro Detroit Airport is a short drive down I-94. There is plenty of parking at many locations in the DDA district that make access to any area quite easy.”
