Canton's 32nd Annual Liberty Fest will take place at Heritage Park June 12-14, offering plenty of family fun, live entertainment, festival food, and more!
Canton Liberty Fest will once again welcome tens of thousands of festival-goers throughout the three-day event, which will be held on Thursday, June 12 from 1 p.m.–10 p.m.; Friday, June 13 from 1 p.m. – 11 p.m.; and Saturday, June 14 from 10 a.m.–10 p.m.
This year’s festival is generously sponsored by: Menchi’s Frozen Yogurt, Michigan Army National Guard, Schoolcraft College, Trinity Health IHA Medical Group, and WeatherGard.

As in years’ past, this exciting summer festival will be held on the picturesque grounds of Canton Heritage Park, located behind the Canton Administration Building at 1150 S. Canton Center Road in Canton. Heritage Park is located just west of Canton Center Road between Cherry Hill and Summit Parkway. As always, entry into the festival grounds and parking are free. Returning Liberty Fest Favorites
Carnival Zone
Presented once again by the Skerbeck Entertainment Group, all ages will be entertained by the variety of rides offered. Mega three-day wristbands and discounted single-day wristbands are only available online through Thursday, June 12 at 9 a.m. Check out www.cantonlibertyfest.com for more information on pricing for ride wristbands. Festival planners have been working with Canton Public Safety, so watch for new safety protocols in the carnival area. New this year: the Thrill Ride Carnival Zone area will be fully fenced. To access this area, guests must present a valid wristband or tickets. Parents/responsible adults attending with their child are not required to have tickets, unless they are also going on the rides. Designated sensory hours will be held daily, which is perfect for guests who are sensitive to loud noises and flashing lights. This year’s sensory hours will be: Thursday, June 12 and Friday, June 13 from 1-3 p.m., and Saturday, June 14 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Beer and Wine Garden
The 21 and over crowd can enjoy some refreshing adult beverages: Thursday from 4 – 10 p.m.; Friday from 2 – 10:30 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. In addition, proceeds from this year’s sales will benefit the Partnership for the Arts, as well as the local community groups volunteering to pour, including the Canton Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, Optimist Club and more!
Fireworks – Sponsored by Michigan Army National Guard
Enjoy this spectacular fireworks display on Friday night. Bring your lawn chairs, and then select any spot in the park! Better yet, rent a family cabana at www.cantonlibertyfest.com with plenty of festival perks! Please remember that no pets, rollerblades or skateboards are allowed. A supervised bike corral is also provided.
Liberty Fest Run
Runners, walkers, strollers, wheelchairs, and hand-bikers are welcome to participate in a one-mile, 5K or 10K walk/run on Saturday, June 14 that is organized by RF Events, Inc. The 5K starts at 8 a.m., followed by the 10K at 8:30 and the one mile at 10 a.m. This year’s theme will be Red, White and Blue! So, be sure to deck yourself from head to toe in our nation’s colors and run, walk, or stroll through Canton neighborhood streets and the Lower Rouge Trail to the finish line! Pancake Breakfast
Saturday morning's annual Canton Lions Club Pancake Breakfast will be held in the north pavilions from 8-11 a.m. (while supplies last). Chris Cakes staff will be onsite flippin’ up some major excitement. Two life-sized characters will make a special appearance for the kiddos from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Family Fun Day – Sponsored by Trinity Health IHA Medical Group
On Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., a Free Family Fun Day will be held on the north side of the park adjacent to the carnival, where special community organizations will be engaging with guests and providing interactive activities for children to have enjoyable and memorable experiences.
Juneteenth
Celebrate Juneteenth in Canton during Liberty Fest on Saturday, June 14, from 5-10 p.m. This special celebration will take place at the Amphitheater Stage and will include a variety of special guest speakers and award presentations, as well as featured black-owned businesses. Entertainment will include a “Learn How to Hustle” demonstration at 5:30 p.m., a step show performed by Wayne State University students at 7 p.m., and The Sound Proof Band will take the stage at 8 p.m.
Special Jurassic Kingdom Performances
Festival-goers can step back in time to the Jurassic Period millions of years ago when they experience one of the free, must-see live action shows featuring life-like animatronic dinosaurs on Saturday, June 14 at 5 p.m., 7 p.m. or 9 p.m., in the Family Zone next to the Canton Live Stage. Not only will they see prehistoric dinosaurs, such as a T-Rex or baby Triceratops, in action during these fun, family shows, but they could also have the opportunity to see actual fossils, including Megalodon and T-Rex teeth, as well as a Triceratops egg and Coelophysis skull.
