With improved walking paths, expanded native tree plantings, new seating areas and new interpretive signage, visitors can learn more about Michigan’s rich biodiversity while enjoying a scenic stroll. Visiting the Fred A. Erb Arboretum is free and open to the public year-round. Whether you come for a morning walk, an afternoon picnic or just to enjoy a bit of fresh air, you’ll leave feeling refreshed and inspired by nature’s beauty.

Join the Royal Oak Nature Society this summer on select Wednesdays at 7 p.m. for educational walks at the arboretum. The dates are June 18, July 16, August 13 and September 10, and begin at the northeast corner of the Mahany/Meininger parking lot.
