The library has a brand-new website! Built for us by the website design company Streamline, it’s a modern, cleaner site, created with accessibility in mind. It should be easier to navigate, offering quick access to information on our programs, resources, announcements, catalogs, and more. Monthly Movies at the Library

The library will now be showing two movies each month. They’ll be held in our conference room, and are completely free to attend, no need to register, just sit back and relax! We’ll provide the popcorn, you supply your family and friends! You are welcome to bring your own drinks, we just ask that they be in closed-lid containers.

Wednesday Night at the Movies

First Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m.
• March 4: The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Rings (PG-13)
• April 1: The Mummy (PG-13)
• May 6: The Devil Wears Prada (PG-13)


Adult Winter Reading Program

We are in the midst of the Southgate Veterans Memorial Library’s sixth Adult Winter Reading Program, which began in January, but there’s still plenty of time to participate! Sign up is in person at the library, come on in to get started.

This year’s theme is “What a Character!”, where you can fill out your reading log according to what characters are in the books. You can fulfill all the challenges with books from the library, or use your own stash. Complete any bingo to finish the program, then present your bingo sheet to the staff and choose your prizes! The program runs until March 19, and you can pick up your prizes whenever the library is open.
