"We want to be your first choice in healthcare," said Clinical Supervisor Astria Whitlow. "We provide care throughout every stage of life— from pregnancy and infancy through adulthood."

Preventive care and education are also important parts of the organization's mission. Western Wayne Family Health Centers offers programs that help uninsured women receive cervical and breast cancer screenings, and works to ensure patients have access to the services they need before small health concerns become larger ones.

That commitment extends well beyond the clinic walls. Throughout the year, staff members participate in health fairs and visit schools and churches and community centers for events.

Community outreach continues with special events designed to promote wellness in a welcoming environment. On August 8, the Taylor location will host a community health fair featuring health information, and fun for families. Each October, the Inkster location hosts its annual women's health event, offering cervical cancer screenings, transportation for mammograms, educational activities, and wellness resources for patients.

“We do our best to make sure our patients know we are here to support them through everything!” said Taylor’s Office Manager Tanya Roberson.
