When it comes to glass repair and replacement, Glass Unlimited has established a strong foundation in southeast Michigan built on quality, safety and expertise.

In 2008, Erin and Nathasja Taylor started Glass Reconditioners, a business that initially started off repairing windshields on Class A trucks. In 2015, they expanded to offer glass replacement services for Class A trucks and automobiles.

In 2022, their company continued to grow, and they acquired two of their well-established competitors, Glass Unlimited and Gary’s Glass. This acquisition diversified the company’s portfolio, allowing them to broaden their services.

The capabilities of Glass Unlimited far exceed that of the average glass repair shop. Its team of certified technicians handles everything from automotive repairs and replacements and commercial glass projects – including new construction storefront glass, thermal panes and product displays – to home glass, screens and custom projects.

“We are fortunate and grateful to have an amazing team and technicians who go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction,” Nathasja said.

Whether it’s large niche projects like working with insurance companies to do the work for RV claims, or smaller jobs like cutting glass for picture frames or residential cabinetry, if it involves glass, Glass Unlimited has the knowledge and skills to do it right.

What makes Glass Unlimited truly stand out in the industry is its commitment to safety and professionalism, with both owners having served on committees for the Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC), which writes the standards for safe installs in the United States.

“We’re very knowledgeable when it comes to the replacement of glass on automobiles and fleet vehicles,” said Erin, who was on both the standards and education committees while Nathasja was a part of the marketing committee for the AGSC.

“We’re well-versed in procedure and are committed to making sure that everything we do is safe and done at the highest level of quality,” Nathasja said.

In addition to constantly continuing its education in the industry, a key area of expertise for Glass Unlimited lies within its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) recalibration services.

ADAS are technologies in many modern vehicles that include cameras and radar systems that assist the driver with things like parking, lane-keeping and collision prevention. When windshields are replaced, these systems need to be professionally calibrated to maintain safety, and while many shops do not have the expertise or capability to perform this crucial part of a windshield replacement, Glass Unlimited does.

On top of its technical knowledge and first-rate service, Glass Unlimited is proud to be a community-focused local business accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Its 2024 move from Westland to Canton gave it more space and resources to better serve the community.

From working with school districts, fire departments and police departments to being a part of the Canton Chamber of Commerce, they do their best to get involved.

“We want to take care of the community whichever way we can and we’re really happy to be in Canton,” Nathasja said.

Whether it’s replacing a cracked windshield, restoring a broken tabletop or adding a modern glass wall to an office space, Glass Unlimited can get the job done with quality craftsmanship and unbeatable customer service.

Glass Unlimited is located in the Koppernick Tech Plaza at 40575 Koppernick Road off of Haggerty and is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. For a free estimate, call (734) 326-1234 or visit www.glassrepairspecialist.com for more information.
