There is still a lot of music to enjoy as the Michigan Phil closes out its regular season. From cellist Deborah Pae on opening night, to the triumph of iconic singer-songwriter Ann Hampton Callaway, this has been a season to remember.

But it’s not over yet!

Be sure not to miss the season finale, as we go out with a bang welcoming Xiao Dong Wei and the Great Lakes Taiko Center for Sounds of the Pacific Rim, April 24, 7:30 p.m., at Mainstage Theatre at The Hawk in Farmington Hills. Music and ancient instruments of the Pacific Rim come together in one concert, celebrating the cultural heritage of the Pacific Basin. Featuring Erhu master, Xiao Dong Wei, performing The Crouching Tiger Concerto. The Great Lakes Taiko Center will also take center stage celebrating ancient percussion instruments.

As the 80th season comes to a close, there is still music to be made as we launch our popular Summer Concert series in June, July and August in Plymouth, Kensington Metropark and Grosse Pointe.
