Morgan Foreman a trailblazer in Public Service

Morgan Foreman has always been a multi-talented individual with a passion for both music and leadership. She was actively involved in concert and marching bands, where she showcased her skills on the clarinet and bass clarinet. Alongside her musical talents, Morgan excelled in sports, participating in Track and Cross Country.
Her leadership abilities were also evident as she served on the Student Advisory Committee, where she helped organize the “Mix It Up Day” in 2006-2007 to encourage students to connect with others. Additionally, Morgan contributed to her community through her involvement in the yearbook and as a teacher’s assistant (TA), further demonstrating her dedication to both creativity and mentorship.
Since graduating, Morgan Foreman has been a force for change in her community, forging a path in public service that defies convention. Rather than taking the traditional route, she began her studies at Washtenaw Community College before earning an Education Policy certificate from Michigan State University and later graduating from the University of Michigan’s Health Policy program. This unique educational journey laid the foundation for a career dedicated to advocacy, policy and community engagement.
Morgan’s commitment to service began long before her time in elected office. She spent years as a caregiver for her grandmother, balancing personal responsibilities while dedicating herself to community work. Her early career included serving as an outreach coordinator for Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan, where she worked to expand opportunities for young girls, and spending nearly five years as a paraeducator in Ypsilanti Community Schools, supporting students and families in need.
Her passion for public service eventually led her to the Michigan State House, where she now represents the 33rd District. With experience as a legislative staffer, community organizer and policy advocate, Morgan has built a reputation for bridging the gap between government and the people it serves. She has also remained deeply involved in local initiatives, serving on the Washtenaw County Brownfield Development Board and within the Washtenaw County Democratic Party.
Beyond her legislative work, Morgan is committed to service through organizations that uplift communities. She is a proud member of The Order of the Eastern Star Naomi #12 and Michigan Metro Top Ladies of Distinction (TLOD), both of which focus on service, mentorship and philanthropy.
Whether working on education reform, consumer protection or healthcare policy, Morgan’s approach is rooted in firsthand experience and a deep understanding of her community’s needs. From caregiving to the classroom to the Capitol, her journey reflects a lifelong commitment to service and a Michigan that works for all.
