The Brownstown Township Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was created with one core purpose: to strengthen the local business district through reinvestment, improvement and long-term economic growth.

One of the primary tools that makes this possible is Tax Increment Financing (TIF), a funding mechanism that ensures growth within the district directly benefits the district itself.

Projects may include exterior painting, masonry restoration, updated signage, improved lighting, window and door replacements, architectural enhancements, accessibility upgrades, and general exterior repairs.
