Book Tasting

It’s no secret that children tend to gravitate to books they’re familiar with, and it’s difficult to get them to try new things. Join Chef Ashley in an engaging cafe-themed evening where they will “sample” various books to explore new genres, and maybe find their new favorite read! Participants will spend about five minutes with each book, reviewing the cover, blurb and perhaps a couple of pages. They will then reflect and rate their interest in that particular book.

Immerse yourself in the terrestrial and aquatic worlds of Michigan’s amphibians and reptiles. During the months of April through September, we will also bring live native amphibians and/or reptiles. These animals cannot travel during the cold winter months.
