CMAC’s legacy of service and growth
By Kelsi Klein

CMAC Transportation, a Brownstown-based, veteran-owned logistics company, is celebrating a special milestone with three generations of the Christie family now working together to continue the company’s legacy.
A family business
Founded nearly 25 years ago by Dave Christie, an Air Force veteran and Vietnam War survivor, CMAC has grown from a small trucking business into a regional leader in transportation, warehousing and logistics solutions serving the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Dave’s son, Scott Christie, now serves as president and CEO, guiding the company’s expansion with a focus on innovation, efficiency and customer service.
The family’s legacy of leadership recently expanded once more with the addition of Scott’s son, Jacob Christie, a recent graduate of Northwood University. Jacob’s arrival marks the first time three generations are working under one roof at the company, symbolizing the continuity and stability CMAC’s customers and employees can count on for decades to come.
Commitment to advancement
To the Christie family, CMAC isn’t just a business, it’s a family-run company that is invested in the long haul and committed to the people it serves.
That forward-thinking mission is evident in CMAC’s latest investment – the Taylor Distribution Center (TDC), a sprawling 44.29-acre industrial park located within the Wayne County submarket of southeast Michigan in the Detroit Region Aerotropolis.
The state-of-the-art warehousing facility, conveniently located near major highways, boasts more than 377,000 square feet and features high dock ratios, ample parking and trailer staging, ESFR fire suppression, efficient LED lighting, tax abatements and incentives for qualified manufacturers and logistic companies and industrial zoning that allows for manufacturing and warehousing users.
Under the CMAC family umbrella is another company, MSH Logistics, which provides expedited shipping services and is owned and operated by Heather DePaul, Dave’s daughter and Scott’s sister – a testament to the family’s commitment and growth in the logistics industry.
Continuing legacy
CMAC continues to pave the way for growth both locally and internationally with its expansion of services, technology adoption and sustainability efforts. As a local, disabled veteran-owned company, CMAC creates jobs, supports regional businesses and invests in innovation that keeps supply chains moving in both the Downriver area and across North America.
For the Christies, three generations at the helm of CMAC is proof that the foundation built by Dave 25 years ago is strong, resilient and ready for the future. With a blend of tradition and innovation, CMAC continues to honor its roots while embracing the opportunities ahead, proving that the family’s mission of service and growth will keep driving CMAC for generations to come.
